Call to Worship
Praise the Lord!
You creatures of the ocean depths, fire and hail, snow and storm,
wind and weather that obey him, mountains and all cedars,
wild å and all livestock, reptiles and birds, kings of the earth and all people!
Let them all praise the name of the Lord.
For his name is very great;
his glory towers over the earth and heaven!

Prayer of Confession
Almighty God and Gracious Father,
Surely you are “the God of gods, and
The Lord of kings.”
Have mercy on us and forgive our sin.
Forgive when we live as orphans,
Rather than as sons and daughters.
And pardon our rebellion and disobedience.
Strengthen our faith and help us in our unbelief.
As the heavens declare your glory,
Be glorified in our lives, in what we do,
Where we live, love, play and work.
Cause your Name to be great,
Through our broken expressions of praise,
Until Jesus Comes. Amen.
All Glory, Laud and Honor
All glory, laud, and honor
To thee, Redeemer, King
To whom the lips of children
Made sweet hosannas ring
Thou art the King of Israel
Thou David’s royal Son
Who in the Lord’s name comest
The King and Blessèd One
The company of angels
Are praising thee on high
And mortal men and all things
Created make reply
The people of the Hebrews
With palms before thee went
Our prayer and praise and anthems
Before thee we present
To thee, before thy passion
They sang their hymns of praise
To thee, now high exalted
Our melody we raise
Thou didst accept their praises
Accept the prayers we bring
Who in all good delightest
Thou good and gracious King

O God Of Our Salvation
O God of our salvation
Who reigns upon the throne
The sov’reign Father, great is he
From whom all blessings flow
O God of our salvation
From whom redemption comes
O Father, Son, and Spirit
The blessed Three in One
Behold the Son our Savior
Who for our sin was slain
The Christ, who purchased with his blood
The wretched souls of men
O God of our salvation
From whom redemption comes
O Father, Son, and Spirit
The blessed Three in One
O God, the Holy Spirit
Revealing deity
The fount of life and love divine
Throughout eternity
O God of our salvation
From whom redemption comes
O Father, Son, and Spirit
The blessed Three in One
Ascribe, O church, the greatness
And the glory due his name
One God, one King, one Essence
Our triune God proclaimed
Amen, amen
Amen, amen

A Confession of Jesus Christ
We find all comforts in Christ’s wounds
and have no need to seek or invent any other means
to reconcile ourselves with God
than this one and only sacrifice,
once made, which renders believers perfect forever.

Better Is One Day
How lovely is your dwelling place, O Lord Almighty
For my soul longs and even faints for you
For here my heart is satisfied
Within your presence
I sing beneath the shadow of your wings
Better is one day in your courts
Better is one day in your house
Better is one day in your courts
Than thousands elsewhere
Than thousands elsewhere
One thing I ask and I would seek
To see your beauty
To find you in the place your glory dwells
Better is one day in your courts
Better is one day in your house
Better is one day in your courts
Than thousands elsewhere
(repeat)
My heart and flesh cry out
For you the living God
Your Spirit’s water to my soul
I’ve tasted and I’ve seen
Come once again to me
I will draw near to you
I will draw near to you
Better is one day
Better is one day
Better is one day
Than thousands elsewhere
(repeat)
Better is one day in your courts
Better is one day in your house
Better is one day in your courts
Than thousands elsewhere
Than thousands elsewhere
Than thousands elsewhere

Sermon
“Work & God’s Glory”
1 Corinthians 10:23-31
The Lord’s Supper
How Deep the Father’s Love
How deep the Father’s love for us
How vast beyond all measure
That he should give his only Son
To make a wretch his treasure
How great the pain of searing loss
The Father turns his face away
As wounds which mar the Chosen One
Bring many sons to glory
Behold a man upon a cross
My sin upon his shoulders
Ashamed, I hear my mocking voice
Call out among the scoffers
It was my sin that held him there
Until it was accomplished
His dying breath has brought me life
I know that it is finished
I will not boast in anything
No gifts, no power, no wisdom
But I will boast in Jesus Christ
His death and resurrection
Why should I gain from his reward
I cannot give an answer
But this I know with all my heart
His wounds have paid my ransom

The Apostles’ Creed (for reflection)
I believe in God, the Father Almighty, Creator of heaven and earth.
I believe in Jesus Christ, his only Son, our Lord,
who was conceived by the Holy Spirit and born of the virgin Mary.
He suffered under Pontius Pilate, was crucified, dead, and buried; he descended to hell.
The third day he rose again from the dead.
He ascended to heaven and is seated at the right hand of God the Father Almighty.
From there he will come to judge the living and the dead
I believe in the Holy Spirit, the holy catholic church, the communion of saints,
the forgiveness of sins, the resurrection of the body, and the life everlasting. Amen.
Doxology
Praise God from whom all blessings flow
Praise him, all creatures here below
Praise him above, ye heavenly host
Praise Father, Son, and Holy Ghost
Amen
