Call to Worship — He Is Exalted
He is exalted
The King is exalted on high
I will praise him
He is exalted
Forever exalted
And I will praise his name
For he is the Lord
Forever his truth shall reign
Heaven and earth
Rejoice in his holy name
He is exalted, the King is exalted on high
He is exalted
The King is exalted on high
I will praise him
He is exalted
Forever exalted
And I will praise his name
For he is the Lord
Forever his truth shall reign
Heaven and earth
Rejoice in his holy name
He is exalted, the King is exalted on high

King of Glory
Lift up your gaze, be lifted up
Tell everyone how great the love
The love come down from heaven’s gate
To kiss the earth with hope and grace
Sing, who is this King of glory?
The Lord, strong and mighty
Who is this King of glory?
The Lord, strong and mighty
Lift up your hands, be lifted up
Let the redeemed declare the love
We bow down at heaven’s gate
To kiss the feet of hope and grace
Sing, who is this King of glory?
The Lord, strong and mighty
Who is this King of glory?
The Lord, strong and mighty
There is one God, he is holy
There is one Lord over everything
There is one King, he is Jesus
King of glory, strong and mighty
You are the King of glory
The Lord, strong and mighty
You are the King of glory
The Lord, strong and mighty

O The Deep, Deep Love of Jesus
O the deep, deep love of Jesus
Vast, unmeasured, boundless, free
Rolling as a mighty ocean
In its fullness over me
Underneath me, all around me
Is the current of thy love
Leading onward, leading homeward
To thy glorious rest above
O the deep, deep love of Jesus
Spread his praise from shore to shore
How he loveth, ever loveth
Changeth never, never more
How he watches o’er his loved ones
Died to call them all his own
How for them he intercedeth
Watcheth o’er them from the throne
O the deep, deep love of Jesus
Love of every love the best
’Tis an ocean vast of blessing
‘Tis a haven sweet of rest
O the deep, deep love of Jesus
‘Tis a heaven of heavens to me
And it lifts me up to glory
For it lifts me up to thee
Underneath me, all around me
Is the current of thy love
Leading onward, leading homeward
To thy glorious rest above

Gifts — Cornerstone
My hope is built on nothing less
Than Jesus’ blood and righteousness
I dare not trust the sweetest frame
But wholly trust in Jesus’ name
Christ alone, Cornerstone
Weak made strong in the Savior’s love
Through the storm, He is Lord
Lord of all
When darkness seems to hide His face
I rest on His unchanging grace
In every high and stormy gale
My anchor holds within the veil
Christ alone, Cornerstone
Weak made strong in the Savior’s love
Through the storm, He is Lord
Lord of all
He is Lord
Lord of all
Christ alone, Cornerstone
Weak made strong in the Savior’s love
Through the storm, He is Lord
Lord of all
Christ alone, Cornerstone
Weak made strong in the Savior’s love
Through the storm, He is Lord
Lord of all
When he shall come with trumpet sound
Oh may I then in him be found
Dressed in his righteousness alone
Faultless, to stand before the throne

Confession of Faith
How are you righteous before God?
Only by true faith in Jesus Christ.
Although my conscience accuses me
that I have grievously sinned
against all God’s commandments,
have never kept any of them,
and am still inclined to all evil,
yet God, without any merit of my own,
out of mere grace,
imputes to me the perfect satisfaction,
righteousness, and holiness of Christ.
He grants these to me
as if I had never had nor committed any sin,
and as if I myself had accomplished
all the obedience which Christ has rendered for me,
if only I accept this gift with a believing heart.
— Heidelberg Catechism Q&A 60
In Christ Alone
In Christ alone, my hope is found
He is my light, my strength, my song
This cornerstone, this solid ground
Firm through the fiercest drought and storm
What heights of love, what depths of peace
When fears are stilled, when strivings cease
My comforter, my all in all
Here in the love of Christ I stand
In Christ alone, who took on flesh
Fullness of God in helpless babe
This gift of love and righteousness
Scorned by the ones he came to save
‘Til on that cross as Jesus died
The wrath of God was satisfied
For every sin on him was laid
Here in the death of Christ I live
There in the ground his body lay
Light of the world by darkness slain
Then bursting forth in glorious day
Up from the grave he rose again
And as he stands in victory
Sin’s curse has lost its grip on me
For I am his and he is mine
Bought with the precious blood of Christ
No guilt in life, no fear in death
This is the power of Christ in me
From life’s first cry to final breath
Jesus commands my destiny
No power of hell, no scheme of man
Can ever pluck me from his hand
‘Til he returns or calls me home
Here in the power of Christ I’ll stand

Sermon
“Righteousness that Compels Us”
2 Timothy 2: 20-26
Prayer of Confession
Dear Father,
we are thankful that your mercy is higher than the heavens,
wider than our wanderings, and deeper than all our sin.
Forgive our selfish attitudes.
Forgive our callousness toward suffering,
Forgive our envy of those who have more than we have.
Forgive our indifference to the treasures of heaven.
Forgive our neglect of your wise and gracious law.
Change our hearts so that we desire what is good,
love what you love, and do what you command;
through Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen.
The Lord’s Supper
Just As I Am
Just as I am, without one plea
But that thy blood was shed for me
And that thou bidst me come to thee
O Lamb of God, I come, I come
Just as I am, and waiting not
To rid my soul of one dark blot
To thee whose blood can cleanse each spot
O Lamb of God, I come, I come
Just as I am, though tossed about
With many conflicts, many doubts
Fightings and fears within, without
O Lamb of God, I come, I come
Just as I am, thy love unknown
Hath broken every barrier down
Now, to be thine, yea thine alone
O Lamb of God, I come, I come
