Call to Worship
Praise the Lord!
Praise God in his sanctuary;
praise him in his mighty heavens!

Praise him for his mighty deeds;
praise him according to his excellent greatness!
Praise him with trumpet sound;
praise him with lute and harp!

Praise him with tambourine and dance;
praise him with strings and pipe!
Praise him with sounding cymbals;
praise him with loud clashing cymbals!

Let everything that has breath praise the Lord!
Praise the Lord!

—Psalm 150:1-6

I Will Sing of My Redeemer
I will sing of my Redeemer
And his wondrous love to me
On the cruel cross he suffered
From the curse to set me free

Sing, O sing, of my Redeemer
With his blood, he purchased me
On the cross, he sealed my pardon
Paid the debt, and made me free

I will tell the wondrous story
How my lost estate to save
In his boundless love and mercy
He the ransom freely gave

Sing, O sing, of my Redeemer
With his blood, he purchased me
On the cross, he sealed my pardon
Paid the debt, and made me free

I will praise my dear Redeemer
His triumphant power I’ll tell
How the victory he giveth
Over sin, and death, and hell

Sing, O sing, of my Redeemer
With his blood, he purchased me
On the cross, he sealed my pardon
Paid the debt, and made me free

I will sing of my Redeemer,
And his heav’nly love to me
He from death to life hath brought me
Son of God with him to be

Sing, O sing, of my Redeemer
With his blood, he purchased me
On the cross, he sealed my pardon
Paid the debt, and made me free

This is Amazing Grace
Who breaks the power of sin and darkness
Whose love is mighty and so much stronger
The King of Glory, the King above all kings

Who shakes the whole earth with holy thunder
Who leaves us breathless in awe and wonder
The King of Glory, the King above all kings

This is amazing grace
This is unfailing love
That you would take my place
That you would bear my cross

You laid down your life
That I would be set free
O Jesus I sing for all that you’ve done for me

Who brings our chaos back into order
Who makes the orphan a son and daughter
The King of Glory, the King of Glory

Who rules the nations with truth and justice
Shines like the sun in all of its brilliance
The King of Glory, the King above all kings

This is amazing grace
This is unfailing love
That you would take my place
That you would bear my cross

You laid down your life
That I would be set free
O Jesus I sing for all that you’ve done for me

Worthy is the Lamb who was slain
Worthy is the King who conquered the grave

Worthy is the Lamb who was slain
Worthy is the King who conquered the grave

Worthy is the Lamb who was slain
Worthy is the King who conquered the grave

This is amazing grace
This is unfailing love
That you would take my place
That you would bear my cross

You laid down your life
That I would be set free
O Jesus I sing for all that you’ve done for me

Prayer for the People, the City, and the Nations

Gifts — Amen
I have no words to say
Don’t know what I should pray
God, I need you
God, I need you

Oh Lord, my faith is tired
And tears fill up my eyes
But I will trust you
I will trust you

Whatever comes my way
You have taught me to say

Amen, let your kingdom come
Amen, let your will be done
And through the rise and fall
You’re God above it all
Amen, we’re singin’ amen

When I can barely stand
You strengthen me again
I will seek you
I will seek you

Though troubles may arise
My hands reach to the skies
I will praise you
I will praise you

Whatever comes my way
You have taught me to say

Amen, let your kingdom come
Amen, let your will be done
And through the rise and fall
You’re God above it all
Amen, we’re singin’ amen
We’re singin’ amen

From everlasting to everlasting
From everlasting to everlasting

From everlasting to everlasting
From everlasting to everlasting

Amen…

Amen, let your kingdom come
Amen, let your will be done
And through the rise and fall
You’re God above it all
Amen, we’re singin’ amen
We’re singin’ amen

Confession of the Church
I believe that the Son of God,
through his Spirit and Word,
out of the entire human race,
from the beginning of the world to its end,
gathers, protects, and preserves for himself
a community chosen for eternal life
and united in true faith.
And of this community
I am and always will be a living member.

You are a chosen race,
a royal priesthood, a holy nation, God’s own people,
in order that you may proclaim the mighty acts of him
who called you out of darkness into his marvelous light.
Once you were not a people, but now you are God’s people;
once you had not received mercy, but now you have received mercy.

In Christ we are forgiven, redeemed,
and made to be a community united in faith.
Thanks be to God.

God You Reign
You paint the night
You count the stars
And you call them by name
The skies proclaim, ‘God you reign’

Your glory shines
You teach the sun
When to bring a new day
Creation sings, ‘God you reign’

God you reign
God you reign
Forever and ever
God you reign

You part the seas
You move the mountains
With the words that you say
My song remains, ‘God you reign’

You hold my life
You know my heart
And you call me by name
I live to say, ‘God you reign’

God you reign
God you reign
Forever and ever
God you reign

Hallelujah, hallelu
Hallelujah, hallelu

Hallelujah, hallelu
Hallelujah, hallelu

God you reign
God you reign
Forever and ever
God you reign

God you reign
God you reign
Forever and ever
God you reign

Children Dismissed for Children’s Church

Sermon
”That You Too May Have Fellowship
We Have a Community”
1 John 1:1-4

Prayer of Confession
O God our Father,
you are Creator and King,
and still you tenderly care for us your children.
Forgive when we respond in ingratitude and unbelief,
and pursue self interest over obedience.
We confess our sins. They are many.
Pour out your Spirit, to cleanse, heal and renew,
that we may be to our world
a redemptive community that exists
as a pleasant aroma of your goodness and grace,
until you make all things new.
Through Jesus. Amen.

The Lord’s Supper

Come Ye Sinners
Come ye sinners, poor and needy
Weak and wounded, sick and sore
Jesus ready, stands to save you
Full of pity, love and power

Come ye thirsty, come and welcome
God’s free bounty glorified
True belief in true repentance
And every grace that brings you nigh

I will arise and go to Jesus
He will embrace me in his arms
And in the arms of my dear Savior
O there are ten thousand charms

Come ye weary, heavy laden
Lost and ruined by the fall
If you tarry ’til you’re better
You will never come at all

I will arise and go to Jesus
He will embrace me in his arms
And in the arms of my dear Savior
O there are ten thousand charms

I will arise and go to Jesus
He will embrace me in his arms
And in the arms of my dear Savior
O there are ten thousand charms

I will arise and go to Jesus
He will embrace me in his arms
And in the arms of my dear Savior
O there are ten thousand charms
