Call to Worship

All the Poor and Powerless
All the poor and powerless
And all the lost and lonely
And all the thieves will come confess
And know that you are holy
And know that you are holy

And all will sing out hallelujah
And we will cry out hallelujah

All the hearts who are content
And all who feel unworthy
And all who hurt with nothing left
Will know that you are holy

And all will sing out hallelujah
And we will cry out hallelujah

Shout it
Go on and sing it from the mountains
Go on and tell it to the masses
That he is God

Shout it
Go on and sing it from the mountains
Go on and tell it to the masses
That he is God

And all will sing out hallelujah
And we will cry out hallelujah

And all will sing out hallelujah
And we will cry out hallelujah

Awesome Is The Lord Most High
Great are you, Lord, mighty in strength
You are faithful and you will ever be
We will praise you all of our days
It’s for your glory we will ever sing

Raise your hands, all you nations
Shout to God all creation
How awesome is the Lord most high

You, O Lord, are a shield about me
You are my glory and you lift my head
You always answer when I call your name
You are my God and I will ever sing

Raise your hands all you nations
Shout to God all creation
How awesome is the Lord most high

We will praise you together
For now and forever
How awesome is the Lord most high

Hallelujah, hallelujah
How awesome is the Lord most high

Hallelujah, hallelujah
How awesome is the Lord most high

Raise your hands all you nations
Shout to God all creation
How awesome is the Lord most high

We will praise you together
For now and forever
How awesome is the Lord most high
The Lord most high

Prayer for the People, the City, and the Nations

Gifts — Future / Past
You hold the reins on the sun and the moon
Like horses driven by kings
You cover the mountains, the valleys below
With the breadth of your mighty wings

All treasures of wisdom and things to be known
Are hidden inside of your hand
And in this fortunate turn of events
You ask me to be your friend
You ask me to be your friend

And you, you are my first, you are my last
You are my future and my past
And you, you are my first, you are my last
You are my future and my past

The constellations are swimming inside
The breadth of your desire
Where could I run, where could I hide
From your heart’s jealous fire

All treasures of wisdom and things to be known
Are hidden inside of your hand
And in this fortunate turn of events
You ask me to be your friend
You ask me to be your friend

And you, you are my first, you are my last
You are my future and my past
And you, you are my first, you are my last
You are my future and my past

You are the beginning and the end
You are the beginning and the end
You are the beginning and the end
You are the beginning and the end

And you, you are my first, you are my last
You are my future and my past
And you, you are my first, you are my last
You are my future and my past

A Litany (based on Romans 8:28)
And we know that for those who love God all things work together for good,
for those who are called according to his purpose.

All things, good and bad

When our resolves are weak

When our feet stumble

When our hopes are faint

When our hearts are broken

When we can’t see the good

When all we know is that God loves us and we love him

Those who are called are loved

Those who are called are his.

He is worthy of our trust

To God be the glory. Amen.

Praise to the Lord, the Almighty
Praise to the Lord
The Almighty, the King of creation
O my soul, praise him
For he is thy health and salvation

All ye who hear
Now to his temple draw near
Praise him in glad adoration

Praise to the Lord
Who o’er all things so wondrously reigneth
Shelters thee under his wings
Yea, so gently sustaineth

Hast thou not seen
How thy desires e’er have been
Granted in what he ordaineth

Hallelujah, hallelujah
Hallelujah, hallelujah

Praise to the Lord
Who doth prosper thy work and defend thee
Surely his goodness and mercy
Here daily attend thee

Ponder anew
What the Almighty can do
If with his love he befriend thee

Praise to the Lord
O let all that is in me adore him
All that hath life and breath
Come now with praises before him

Let the ‘amen’
Sound from his people again
Gladly for aye we adore him

Let the ‘amen’
Sound from his people again
Gladly for aye we adore him

Hallelujah, hallelujah
Hallelujah, hallelujah

Hallelujah, hallelujah
Hallelujah, hallelujah

Sermon
“To Be Whole”
Acts 14:8-18

Prayer of Confession
Gracious God and Father, awesome in wisdom, power and glory,
abundant in compassion and mercy.
Take pity on us and forgive our sins.
Cleanse us from within.
Remove all that blinds us from your glory.
Guard us from insolent attitudes and evil actions.
Restore to us the joy of our salvation, and bring peace to our restless hearts.
Cause us to reflect the redeeming love, we were purchased with,
for the sake of this world you created to be good, until you make all things new.
Through Jesus. Amen.

God With Us
You’ve come to bring peace, to be love
To be nearer to us

You’ve come to bring life, to be light
To shine brighter in us
O Emmanuel, God with us

Our Deliverer, you are Savior
In your presence we find our strength
Over everything, our redemption
God with us, you are God with us

You’ve come to be hope to this world
For your honor and name

You’ve come to take sin, to bear shame
And to conquer the grave
O Emmanuel, God with us

Our Deliverer, you are Savior
In your presence we find our strength
Over everything, our redemption
God with us, you are God with us

You are here, you are holy
We are standing in your glory
You are here, you are holy
We are standing in your glory, Lord

Our Deliverer, you are Savior
In your presence we find our strength
Over everything, our redemption
God with us…

Our Deliverer, you are Savior
In your presence we find our strength
Over everything, our redemption
God with us, you are God with us

God with us, you are God with us
