Call to Worship
Shout joyfully to the Lord, all the earth.
Enter his gates with thanksgiving and his courts with praise.
Give thanks to him and bless his name,
for the Lord is good.
—based on Psalm 100
O Worship the King
O worship the King
All glorious above
O gratefully sing
His wonderful love
Our Shield and Defender
The Ancient of Days
Pavilioned in splendor
And girded with praise
O tell of his might
O sing of his grace
Whose robe is the light
Whose canopy space
His chariots of wrath
The deep thunderclouds form
And dark is his path
On the wings of the storm
You alone are the matchless King
To you alone be all majesty
Your glories and wonders
What tongue can recite
You breathe in the air
You shine in the light
O measureless might
Ineffable love
While angels delight
To worship above
Thy mercies, how tender
How firm to the end
Our Maker, Defender
Redeemer, and Friend
You alone are the matchless King
To you alone be all majesty
Your glories and wonders
What tongue can recite
You breathe in the air
You shine in the light
You alone are the matchless King
To you alone be all majesty
Your glories and wonders
What tongue can recite
You breathe in the air
You shine in the light
O worship the King
All glorious above
O gratefully sing
His wonderful love
Our shield and defender
The ancient of days
Pavilioned in splendor
And girded with praise

One and Only
Who spoke and taught the sun to rise
Whose lips proclaimed the birth of light
Who sparked the kindling of stars
And set the fire in our hearts
Who sang as planets learned their dance
Who poured the oceans from his hands
Whose breath awakened life from dust
And leaves me breathless at his touch
Jesus, one and only
Great and holy, we are yours
How our hearts race at your glory
Lord almighty, we are yours and yours alone
Who is this man upon a cross
Who left his throne to ransom us
Who died to save us at our worst
And rose to give us heaven’s best
You rose to give us heaven’s best
Jesus, one and only
Great and holy, we are yours
How our hearts race at your glory
Lord almighty, we are yours
My Savior, Jesus, one and only
Great and holy, we are yours
How our hearts race at your glory
Lord almighty, we are yours and yours alone
We will watch the bridegroom come
And heaven breaking like the dawn
All dressed in white, our shame is gone
We’re free to dance before your throne
Jesus, one and only
Great and holy, we are yours
How our hearts race at your glory
Lord almighty, we are yours
My Jesus, one and only
Great and holy, we are yours
How our hearts race at your glory
Lord almighty, we are yours and yours alone

Prayer for the People, the City, and the Nations
Gifts
How Deep the Father’s Love For Us
How deep the Father’s love for us
How vast beyond all measure
That he should give his only Son
To make a wretch his treasure
How great the pain of searing loss
The Father turns his face away
As wounds which mar the Chosen One Bring many sons to glory
Behold the man upon a cross
My sin upon his shoulders
Ashamed, I hear my mocking voice
Call out among the scoffers
It was my sin that held him there
Until it was accomplished
His dying breath has brought me life
I know that it is finished
I will not boast in anything
No gifts, no power, no wisdom
But I will boast in Jesus Christ
His death and resurrection
Why should I gain from his reward
I cannot give an answer
But this I know with all my heart
His wounds have paid my ransom
Why should I gain from his reward
I cannot give an answer
But this I know with all my heart
His wounds have paid my ransom

How Great is Our God
The splendor of a King
Clothed in majesty
Let all the earth rejoice
All the earth rejoice
He wraps himself in light
And darkness tries to hide
And trembles at his voice
And trembles at his voice
How great is our God, sing with me
How great is our God, and all will see
How great, how great is our God
Age to age he stands
And time is in his hands
Beginning and the End
Beginning and the End
The Godhead, three in one
Father, Spirit, Son
The Lion and the Lamb
The Lion and the Lamb
How great is our God, sing with me
How great is our God, and all will see
How great, how great is our God
Name above all names
Worthy of all praise
My heart will sing
How great is our God
Then sings my soul
My Savior God, to thee
How great thou art
How great thou art
Then sings my soul
My Savior God, to thee
How great thou art
How great thou art
How great is our God, sing with me
How great is our God, and all will see
How great, how great is our God

Sermon
“A Tree & A Promise”
Matthew 21:12-22
Prayer of Confession
Faithful God,
you have promised to be merciful
and remove our sins from us
as far as the east is from the west.
We rest in that promise
and ask that you forgive us
for our rebellious spirits,
for our indifference towards those in need,
for the greed and envy that shapes our desires,
and for the unbelief that causes us to reject the Gospel.
Make us into a renewed people
who reflect your love and mercy,
so the world may know that you are
greater than our sin and weakness.
Through Jesus. Amen.
Assurance of Pardon
“God does not treat us as our sins deserve or repay us according to our iniquities. For as high as the heavens are above the earth, so great is his love for those who put their faith in him.”
—based on Psalm 103:12
The Lord’s Supper
Jesus Paid It All
I hear the Savior say
Thy strength indeed is small
Child of weakness watch and pray
Find in me thine all in all
Jesus paid it all
All to him I owe
Sin had left a crimson stain
He washed it white as snow
Lord now indeed I find
Thy power and thine alone
Can change the leper’s spots
And melt the heart of stone
Jesus paid it all
All to him I owe
Sin had left a crimson stain
He washed it white as snow
For nothing good have I
Whereby thy grace to claim
I’ll wash my garments white
In the blood of Calv’ry’s Lamb
Jesus paid it all
All to him I owe
Sin had left a crimson stain
He washed it white as snow
And when before the throne
I stand in him complete
Jesus died my soul to save
My lips shall still repeat
Jesus paid it all
All to him I owe
Sin had left a crimson stain
He washed it white as snow
