Call to Worship
Bless the Lord, O my soul,
and all that is within me,
bless his holy name!

—Psalm 103:1

Come Thou Fount
Come thou fount of every blessing
Tune my heart to sing thy grace
Streams of mercy, never ceasing
Call for songs of loudest praise

Teach me some melodious sonnet
Sung by flaming tongues above
Praise the mount, I’m fixed upon it
Mount of God’s unchanging love

Here I raise my Ebenezer
Hither to thy help I’ve come
And I hope, by thy good pleasure
Safely to arrive at home

Jesus sought me when a stranger
Wandering from the fold of God
He, to rescue me from danger
Interposed his precious blood

Oh, to grace how great a debtor
Daily I’m constrained to be
Let thy grace now, like a fetter
Bind my wand’ring heart to thee

Prone to wander, Lord, I feel it
Prone to leave the God I love
Here’s my heart, O take and seal it
Seal it for thy courts above

Prone to wander, Lord, I feel it
Prone to leave the God I love
Here’s my heart, O take and seal it
Seal it for thy courts above

Come thou fount of every blessing
Tune my heart to sing thy grace
Streams of mercy, never ceasing
Call for songs of loudest praise

Teach me some melodious sonnet
Sung by flaming tongues above
Praise the mount, I’m fixed upon it
Mount of God’s unchanging love

10,000 Reasons
Bless the Lord, O my soul, O my soul
Worship his holy name
Sing like never before, O my soul
I’ll worship your holy name

The sun comes up
It’s a new day dawning
It’s time to sing your song again

Whatever may pass
And whatever lies before me
Let me be singing
When the evening comes

Bless the Lord, O my soul, O my soul
Worship his holy name
Sing like never before, O my soul
I’ll worship your holy name

You’re rich in love
And you’re slow to anger
Your name is great
And your heart is kind

For all your goodness
I will keep on singing
Ten thousand reasons
For my heart to find

Bless the Lord, O my soul, O my soul
Worship his holy name
Sing like never before, O my soul
I’ll worship your holy name

And on that day
When my strength is failing
The end draws near
And my time has come

Still my soul will sing
Your praise unending
Ten thousand years
And then forevermore

Bless the Lord, O my soul, O my soul
Worship his holy name
Sing like never before, O my soul
I’ll worship your holy name

Bless the Lord, O my soul, O my soul
Worship his holy name
Sing like never before, O my soul
I’ll worship your holy name

O Praise Him
Turn your ear to Heaven
And hear the noise inside
The sound of angels awe
The sound of angels songs

And all this for a King
We could join and sing
All to Christ the King

How constant, how divine
This song of ours will rise
O, how constant how divine
This love of ours will rise, will rise…

O praise him, O praise him
He is holy, he is holy

Turn your gaze to Heaven
And raise a joyous noise
The sound of salvation come
The sound of rescued ones

And all this for a King
Angels join to sing
All for Christ our King

O praise him, O praise him
He is holy, he is holy

O praise him, O praise him
He is holy, he is holy

How infinite and sweet
This love so rescuing
O, how infinitely sweet
This great love that has redeemed
As one, we sing…

Hallelujah, hallelujah
He is holy, he is holy

O praise him, O praise him
He is holy, he is holy

O praise him, O praise him
He is holy, he is holy

Prayer for the People, the City, and the Nations

Gifts — Impossible Things
You heal the broken hearted
You set the captive freeYou lift the heavy burden
And even now you are lifting me

There is no healer like the Lord our maker
There is no equal to the King of Kings
Our God is with us, we will fear no evil
‘Cause you do impossible things
You do impossible things

Though I walk through the valley
Darkness surrounding me
There you prepare a table
In the presence of my enemies

There is no healer like the Lord our maker
There is no equal to the King of Kings
Our God is with us, we will fear no evil
‘Cause you do impossible things
You do the impossible, impossible

One word and the walls start falling
One word and the blind will see
One word and the sinner’s forgiven
‘Cause you do impossible things

One word and the walls start falling
One word and the blind will see
One word and the sinner’s forgiven
‘Cause you do impossible things

There is no healer like the Lord our maker
There is no equal to the King of Kings
Our God is with us, we will fear no evil
‘Cause you do impossible things
You do impossible things

More than I could ask
Or even imagine

More than I could ask
You’re more than enough

You heal the broken hearted
You set the captive free
You lift the heavy burden
And even now you are lifting me

Fairest Lord Jesus
Fairest Lord Jesus
Ruler of all nature
Son of God and Son of man

Thee will I cherish
Thee will I honor
Thou, my soul’s glory, joy, and crown

Fair are the meadows
Fairer still the woodlands
Robed in the blooming garb of spring

Jesus is fairer
Jesus is purer
Who makes the woeful heart to sing

Fair is the sunshine
Fairer still the moonlight
And all the twinkling starry host

Jesus shines brighter
Jesus shines purer
Than all the angels heaven can boast

Beautiful Savior
Lord of the nations
Son of God and Son of man

Glory and honor
Praise, adoration
Now and forevermore be thine

Bless the Lord, O my soul, O my soul
Worship his holy name
Sing like never before, O my soul
I’ll worship your holy name

Sermon
“Hold Fast”
Revelation 2:18-29

Prayer of Confession
Father, we are called to love because you first loved us.
Forgive our failures to love.

We are called to faith because of Jesus’ faithfulness.
Forgive our faithlessness.

We are called to serve others, as Jesus served us.
Forgive our lack of service.

We are called to believe the promise that you work all things for good.
Forgive our unbelief and impatience with your plan.

For the sake of Jesus have mercy.
Turn our hearts to you, and give us grace to love and serve you.

In Jesus’ name, Amen.

Assurance of Pardon
I have blotted out your transgressions like a cloud and your sins like mist;
return to me, for I have redeemed you.

—Isaiah 44:22

The Lord’s Supper

I Surrender All
All to Jesus I surrender
All to him I freely give

I will ever love and trust him
In his presence daily live

All to Jesus I surrender
Humbly at his feet I bow

Worldly pleasures all forsaken
Take me Jesus, take me now

I surrender all, I surrender all
All to thee, my blessed Savior
I surrender all

All to Jesus I surrender
Make me, Savior, wholly thine

May thy Holy Spirit fill me
May I know thy pow’r divine

I surrender all, I surrender all
All to thee, my blessed Savior
I surrender all

All to Jesus I surrender
Lord I give myself to thee

Fill me with thy love and power
Let thy blessing fall on me

I surrender all, I surrender all
All to thee, my blessed Savior
I surrender all
