Welcome & Announcements

Call to Worship
Lord, our Lord,
how majestic is your name in all the earth!
Every day I will exalt you
and praise your name forever and ever.

—based on Psalm 8 & 145

Majestic
O Lord, our Lord how majestic
Is your name in all the earth
O Lord, our Lord how majestic
Is your name in all the earth

The heavens declare your greatness
The oceans cry out to you
The mountains they bow down before you
So I’ll join with the earth
And I’ll give my praise to you

O Lord, our Lord how majestic
Is your name in all the earth
O Lord, our Lord how majestic
Is your name in all the earth

The heavens declare your greatness
The oceans cry out to you
The mountains they bow down before you
So I’ll join with the earth and I’ll sing

The heavens declare your greatness
The oceans cry out to you
The mountains they bow down before you
So I’ll join with the earth
And I’ll give my praise to you

I will worship you
I will worship you
We will worship you
We will worship you

The heavens declare your greatness
The oceans cry out to you
The mountains they bow down before you
So I’ll join with the earth and I’ll sing

The heavens declare your greatness
The oceans cry out to you
The mountains they bow down before you
So I’ll join with the earth
And I’ll give my praise to you

Prayer for the People, the City, and the Nations

Gifts — We Are One
Ash to ash, dust to dust, we live and die
But in the Son, in the Son, we are alive
All for one, all for one, from every tongue and tribe
In Jesus crucified, ’cause Jesus is aliveNow once and for all time

We are one, we are all for oneAll for Jesus
Jesus, once for allTo the glory of the one true God

King of kings, Lord of lords ’til kingdom come
And in the end, in the end, God all in all
He will be everything, everything to everyone
When death is finally done, and victory is won
Once and for all of us

We are one, we are all for one
All for Jesus
Jesus, once for all
To the glory of the one true God

We won’t be moved, we’re standing tall
Once of the dust, now of the Son
All life and death and what’s to come
Belong to Christ, and Christ to God

So here we stand, hands lifted highThe very hands and feet of ChristNo holding back, no wasting timeWe live for love

We are one, we are all for one
All for Jesus
Jesus, once for all
To the glory of the…

We are one, we are all for one
All for Jesus
Jesus, once for all
To the glory of the one true God

Immortal, Invisible, God Only Wise
Immortal, invisible
God only wise
In light inaccessible
Hid from our eyes

Most blessed, most glorious
The Ancient of Days
Almighty, victorious
Thy great name we praise

Unresting, unhasting
And silent as light,
Nor wanting, nor wasting
Thou rulest in might

Thy justice, like mountains
High soaring above
Thy clouds, which are fountains
Of goodness and love

To all, life thou givest
To both great and small
In all life thou livest
The true life of all

We blossom and flourish
As leaves on the tree
And wither and perish
But naught changeth thee

Great Father of glory
Pure Father of light
Thine angels adore thee
All veiling their sight

All praise we would render
O help us to see
‘Tis only the splendor
Of light hideth thee

What a Beautiful Name
You were the Word at the beginning
One with God, the Lord Most High
Your hidden glory in creation
Now revealed in you our Christ

What a beautiful name it is
What a beautiful name it is
The name of Jesus Christ, my King

What a beautiful name it is
Nothing compares to this
What a beautiful name it is, the name of Jesus

You didn’t want heaven without us
So Jesus, you brought heaven down
My sin was great, your love was greater
What could separate us now

What a wonderful name it is
What a wonderful name it is
The name of Jesus Christ, my King

What a wonderful name it is
Nothing compares to this
What a wonderful name it is, the name of Jesus
What a wonderful name it is, the name of Jesus

Death could not hold you
The veil tore before you
You silenced the boast of sin and grave

The heavens are roaring
The praise of your glory
For you are raised to life again

You have no rival
You have no equal
Now and forever, God you reign

Yours is the Kingdom
Yours is the glory
Yours is the name above all names

What a powerful name it is
What a powerful name it is
The name of Jesus Christ, my King

What a powerful name it is
Nothing can stand against
What a powerful name it is, the name of Jesus
What a powerful name it is, the name of Jesus
What a powerful name it is, the name of Jesus

Sermon
“The Holy Graveside — The Church is…”
Deuteronomy 34:1-8

Prayer of Confession
God, be merciful to us.
Our sins are always before us.
We cannot undo them.
We cannot forget them.
In pride we want others to praise us
In fear we hide from your people around us

Wipe away our sins, as you promise.
Give us hearts that are thankful,
So that we may find joy in sharing life together.
We pray in Jesus’ name, Amen.

Assurance of Pardon
“For I am sure that neither death nor life, nor angels nor rulers, nor things present nor things to come, nor powers, nor height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God in Christ Jesus our Lord.”

— Romans 8:38-39

The Lord’s Supper

Jesus I Come
Oh, how I need your grace
More than my words can say
Jesus I come, Jesus I come

In all my weaknesses
You are my confidence
Jesus I come, Jesus I come

I will rise and stand redeemed
Heaven open over me
To your name eternally
Endless glory I will bring

Oh what amazing love
Beneath your cleansing flood
Jesus I come, Jesus I come

In every broken place
You are my righteousness
Jesus I come, Jesus I come

I will rise and stand redeemed
Heaven open over me
To your name eternally
Endless glory I will bring

I will rise and stand redeemed
Heaven open over me
To your name eternally
Endless glory I will bring

Thank you Jesus
Just as I am, I come
Hallelujah
Oh, what amazing love

Thank you Jesus
Just as I am, I come
Hallelujah
Oh, what amazing love

I will rise and stand redeemed
Heaven open over me
To your name eternally
Endless glory I will bring

I will rise and stand redeemed
Heaven open over me
To your name eternally
Endless glory I will bring
